The night view depicts the area from Shibuya's most famous crossing toward Udagawacho. This is one piece from the night view series "Yoru no Kei", created during the COVID-19 lockdown period in 2020. The light from the large-scale video screens illuminates the flow of people, while the air, thicker and warmer than during the day, brings out the contours of Shibuya's night.
This work was first produced in 2020, the 2026 edition has been updated for the art and technology event “DIG SHIBUYA.”
渋谷で最も有名な交差点から宇田川町方面の夜景が描かれています。2020年、コロナ禍の外出自粛期間において制作された、夜景「よる之景」シリーズの一つです。大型ビジョンの光が人々の流れを照らし、昼とは異なる密度と熱を帯びた空気が、渋谷の夜の輪郭を浮かび上がらせます。
本作は2020年に初版が制作されました。2026年版は同年に渋谷で開催されたアートとテクノロジーのイベント、DIG SHIBUYA verです。
