This work is a night view of the Hakozaki Junction of the Metropolitan Expressway as seen from the exit of Tokyo Metro Suitengumae Station.
Hakozaki Junction is known as one of the best junctions in Tokyo, and because of its unique form, it is also called “Yamata no Orochi”, a giant creature with 8 heads and 8 tails that appears in Japanese mythology. It is an urban artery that supports the logistics of the metropolis Tokyo day and night, and in the near view is depicted a Konbini (convenience store) that also supports a life in Tokyo day and night.
